There are only a couple routines that I’ve kept from my past life. One of them has been my volunteer work with the Boys and Girls Club of San Francisco. I started volunteering with the BGCSF in the first few months of moving to San Francisco as a way for me to learn about my new city, give back to the community, and maybe make some friends. Two years later, I still visit the Club weekly and value the relationships I’ve made with both the members and the staff. Two of my most supportive friends from the Club have been Jay, the club director and his lovely wife and volunteer coordinator, Erica. They have supported my transition from full time attorney to full time photographer and always offer encouragement. Recently, I had the opportunity to give my support to Jay and Erica with a San Francisco maternity session. I just love that Jay and Erica have incorporated some of Erica’s Cuban culture and Jay’s passion for surfing in their session!
